A variety of instruments are laid out on a table in front of the group. The therapist sings,

"we're going to make some music, we're going to make it now (2x) play it now, play it now (2x)."

then choose someone to come up to the table and sing,

"Oh here come (name) full of joy, I wonder what he/she'll choose? (2x)" (resident chooses an instrument and faces the group) while therapist continues "play it now, etc. resident sits down with his instrument. Song is repeated for next person. Each in turn plays a solo in front of the group, then joins the group at which time all group members already having an instrument, play along also.
