Pass out the elastic so that each member in the circle is holding it. Play rhythmic music on tape. Model moving the elastic in time to the music and encourage group members to imitate. Variations include improvising on the keyboard, playing the music fast and slow (and altering the movement) or stopping the music and asking group members to hold elastic in the air while the music is stopped.
