place keyboard in front of resident. Demonstrate that it can make different sounds. Allow resident to play on keyboard. Show 2 picture cards of different instruments. Ask resident to point to the instrument, for which he/she would like to hear on the keyboard. Change the keyboard sound according to the picture selected. This is a good activity for non-verbal residents who have some cognitive understanding and are capable of making choices.
